UFC on FOX 25: Chris Weidman Faces A Must-Win Situation In Long Island Saturday Night

By Adam Martin

If you'd have told me a few years ago that Chris Weidman would be on a three-fight losing streak and in a must-win situation to keep his job in the UFC, I wouldn't have believed you. But that's exactly the situation the former UFC Middleweight Champion finds himself in when he takes on Kelvin Gastelum in the main event of UFC on FOX 25, which takes place Saturday at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York.

Justin Gaethje: Why a Fight Against Eddie Alvarez Makes Sense

By Adam Martin

Like all of you, I enjoyed the hell out of Justin Gaethje's UFC debut at the TUF 25 Finale against Michael Johnson, a fight "The Highlight" won via second-round TKO after being hurt badly several times in the first and second rounds. It's the Fight of the Year so far, and after the fight I desperately wanted the UFC to book Gaethje against Tony Ferguson, a fight both fighters wanted and asked for on social media.

Mayweather vs. McGregor: Impressions From Mayweather-McGregor World Tour In Toronto

By Adam Martin

The Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor World Tour started off Tuesday in Los Angeles, California, and most fans were disappointed with the first leg of the four-stop tour. There were a lot of hiccups production-wise in L.A., including McGregor’s microphone getting cut off at one point, and even Showtime’s executives admitted it wasn’t the show they expected, with McGregor seemingly tame compared to what he’s usually like. All in all, Mayweather took the first round of verbal sparring 10-9.

Amanda Nunes and the Irresponsible UFC 213 Fallout

By Raphael Garcia

The situation involving Amanda Nunes and UFC 213 is a perplexing one. The UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion withdrew from her main event bout hours before she was to step into the cage to face Valentina Shevchenko. The outcry was understandably quick and furious. However, it was interesting to see the amount of it that was levied by her promoter, the UFC itself. UFC President Dana White questioned the mental fortitude of his champion, causing damage to the reputation of an individual in whose continued success he should have a vested interest in.

UFC 213: Robert Whittaker vs. Yoel Romero Is the Ultimate Battle of Betting Underdogs

By Adam Martin

UFC 213 is a card full of well-matched fights, but perhaps the most competitive of all the 12 fights on the card is the co-main event, a five-round interim middleweight title fight between perennial underdogs Robert Whittaker and Yoel Romero. Not surprisingly, the odds for this fight are very close with just days to go until the bout. After Romero opened as a slight favorite, early money has come in on Whittaker, making him a small favorite. Money is expected to come back Romero’s way, and by the time of the fight this could very well be a true pick ‘em.
